Inland transport and container haulage

The leg that most often breaks a schedule is the one on the road. We plan it backwards from the cut-off, not forwards from the factory.

Overview

Road Transportation with King Freight Maritime

A container that reaches the terminal an hour after gate-in closes has missed the vessel, and a missed vessel usually costs more than the entire haulage bill. Inland transport deserves the same planning as the ocean leg.

King Freight Maritime arranges factory-to-port and port-to-door haulage across Maharashtra, Gujarat, Karnataka and Tamil Nadu, with GPS visibility on every vehicle and a driver contact you can actually reach.

What is included

Trailers and container carriers

20ft, 40ft, low-bed and multi-axle trailers for standard and oversized loads.

ODC movements

Over-dimensional cargo with route survey, permits, escorts and utility clearances arranged in advance.

ICD and CFS connectivity

Movements to and from the inland container depots and container freight stations feeding the major ports.

GPS visibility

Live vehicle tracking with milestone updates at loading, dispatch, in-transit and gate-in.

E-way bill compliance

E-way bills raised and validated so vehicles are not stopped and detained en route.

Cut-off planning

Departure scheduled backwards from the terminal cut-off, allowing for traffic restrictions and weighbridge time.

Frequently asked questions

Do you own the vehicles?
We work with a vetted panel of transporters rather than owning a fleet, which lets us match the right vehicle to the load and the corridor. The panel is small, the operators are ones we use repeatedly, and the accountability for the movement remains ours.
How do you handle over-dimensional cargo?
ODC starts with a route survey — checking bridge heights, turning radii, overhead cables and weight restrictions along the whole corridor. Permits come from each state the vehicle crosses, and escorts and utility teams are arranged where the load fouls infrastructure. This takes time, so tell us about ODC as early as possible.
What happens if the vehicle is delayed?
You hear it from us. GPS tracking means we see a stopped vehicle before you notice a missing delivery, and if a cut-off is genuinely at risk we tell you immediately and start working the alternatives — a later gate-in, a different terminal, or the next sailing.
Can you collect from a factory without a loading dock?
Yes, but tell us in advance. Side-loading, crane assistance or a smaller feeder vehicle with transloading may be needed, and all of those change the price and the timing. A surprise at the gate is the most expensive kind.
